1. Mirror Should Not Be Doors Facing
Due to its reflective nature, mirror facing the door disturb the Chi (氣) circulation as door is the entrance of Chi. Mirror should not face study table as well.
2. No Mirror in Master Bedroom
It is generally not recommended to place a mirror in the master bedroom, especially at the bedside, as it will affect the harmony of marital relationship. If a mirror is a must in the master bedroom, a table mirror is preferable and should be concealed when not in use.
3. Bathroom Mirror for Practical Use
Bathroom mirror can help reflect the impurity gas (穢汽) accumulated in the bathroom out and has a visual benefit as bathroom is usually smaller than other rooms.
4. Size of Mirror Proportional to House Size
Like many things in Feng Sui, size of mirror should be in harmony / He (和) with size of the house. For instance, a hanging mirror should be sized to show one’s head, and full length mirror should be able to show whole body.
5. No Two Mirrors Facing Each Other
For decorative purpose, some will place two mirrors facing each other at entrance. It is not recommended in Feng Shui as the looping images in the mirrors signify a dilemma without progress.
