Personal attributes such as communication skills, adaptability, team skills, etc. are essentials for a successful career. On the other hand, external environment such as helpful coworkers, understanding supervisors, favorable popularity, or a good opportunity to show one's talent is important as well. Adjusting the Feng Shui in office can help enhance one's luck for encountering such opportunities.
1. Sitting with Back to the Wall
Sitting with the back to the wall add a sense of security and is considered utilizing a support (靠山) from the wall. If sitting with back to the wall not possible, one can try putting a brown colored jacket on the back of the chair.
2. Avoid Facing Supervior's Office Directly
In Feng Shui, subordinates should avoid having their office facing their supervisors as it is considered inappropriate and cause negative impact on the subordiates.
3. Put Important Office Supplies on the Left
Left is where the Green Dragon (青龍) resides, and should be strengthened by putting important office supplies such as office desk and computer on the left of the office.
4. Tidy Up Office Before Major Undertakings
Before starting every major project, office should be reorganized. Hence, things no longer needed will be disposed to make room for new items. Lacking space or disturbance from previous work is destructive and make people feel difficult in the new endeavor.
