Feng Shui Do's and Don'ts in Bedroom and Bathroom

Feng Shui in Room Decoration
One's room represent oneself, and it is a mirror of your fate and future fortune. A messy room reflects a confusing mind; a room with just single individual photos means that the room owner's relationship with people around are rambling.

Utilizing Feng Shui principles to room decoration can help achieve the desired mode of life, as it will make one re-examine and remind oneself  what one's goal is. The room settings and decoration will pass information to your subconscious mind, which reinforce one's performance and interaction with the world.

A room which is asymmetrical in shape doesn't necessarily make it bad. Normally, if the asymmetrical is more than half of the size of the room, it is considered Yin (‘陰’). If it is not, it signifies a concentrated Yin Yang energy region.

Four Don’t’s for Bed Placing
1. Don’t place the head of a bed beneath a beam, which will create a sense of pressure

2. Door represents rapid motion and is considered a Rush Squeeze (‘沖煞’) in bedroom setting. Hence, placing the bed directly to the door is considered a taboo.

3. In general, bed with access from three sides is considered. However, in view of feng shui, the three sides of access mean a free outflow of energy and chi (‘氣’), which is not optimal as chi should retain in body while at rest.

4. Too close to window or air vent will make one feel cold and uncomfortable, affecting the chi (‘氣’) as well

Four Dos for Bathroom Settings
1. Bathroom should be set in the Fierce Location ('兇位')  of the house.
2. Bathroom door should be closed.
3. Ensure good air circulation in bathroom, prevent consistent  moisture and condensation.
4. Bathroom should be neat and tidy.

Four Dont's for Bathroom Settings
1. Lighting in bathroom should not be too dim.
2. Bathroom door should not be facing bedroom doors / beds.
3. Bathroom locations should not be change frequently.
4. Bathroom should not be set in the central place of the house.
